Really great work on this game!  The wands were creative (bubble wand was great in particular) and each was nicely tuned to have advantages and disadvantages.  Enjoyed the pixel art and the sense of place you created with the towns -- that makes a big difference.  The flies were tough but I was craving difficulty (makes the games last longer and makes progression feel like a greater accomplishment), so I liked it.  Awesome variety of enemies.  The opening theme music was also great, I stopped and listened.

I had no lag issues, gameplay was smooth.  The only bug-type issue I experienced was that the boss who guards the bomb-wand went into the upper left corner and was stuck for a bit in a flip-out, and later moved into the lower right area and seemed to stop fighting. But not a huge issue in the grand scheme.

Hey, thanks so much for taking the time to play! Glad you had fun. All of the bosses are (probably obviously) pretty rough, and the bomb wand one is by far the roughest., haha. Sorry about that.

Was a nice game. just the blue fleis sucked.
they fly below your shooting height.and fly on top of you, so you cant shoot them but they cosntantly damage you.

like, they are directly on top of you, you cant hit them, but they constantly hit you. and running away and hitting them from afar is hard to impossible

Yeah, I didn't think the flies were too bad, but I've gotten similar comments to yours, so, evidently, they're bad

I've already made some changes to them for the post-jam update, so hopefully that'll make it better. 

Sorry if that ruined the experience! Hope you liked the game up to that point, haha.

Good game!

After playing for a while in full screen, it can really start lagging, however. It slowed my whole computer (Ryzen 5 3600, RTX 3070) to a crawl. Maybe it's just a browser issue?

Oh, that's unfortunate. Could be a browser issue, not really sure. It got worse as you played? Did it seem to happen more in some areas than others? (For example, the sewer area seems to lag sometimes for reasons that I still haven't figured.)

It happened more when there were more things on screen and I was firing my weapon, particularly near the final boss (or maybe it was just building up to that point). That was when I set the game down for a moment and noticed it was affecting my whole computer.

Okay. I'll have to take a look at what I can do. Appreciate the feedback!

can you upload a windows downloadable version?

I think I probably could, but at this point, it probably won't be until after the jam, and will probably be an updated version.

I have someone writing original music for the post-jam update, but it's been coming in very slowly. I've joined a jam that starts tomorrow, so I decided that, with or without the new music, a new build of this is coming tomorrow before I get into another project. That's including a Windows build!

There is a Windows version up now! I've never made a Windows build of a game, so let me know if you have any issues with it.

Great music choice and fun animations!

I got pushed off screen while in the slime room of the sewers by a couple of the small slimes and a fly and the screen didn't change to the room I got pushed into. There were slimes on the far right ledge when it happened and the fly helped to push me out, then followed while damaging me off-screen. Entering the 2nd screen over to the right, with the platforms, fixed it. I was able to replicate it again as long as there was a small slime on the ledge blocking and bumping me off-screen. 

I had fun doing the animations, so I'm happy they're fun to see in action too.

Thanks so much for the detailed bug report. I think I know what happened actually, and it should be a pretty simple fix.

WHERE AM I?

I came here by dying in the "crossroads" of the sewer.

EDIT: I also dislike the lack of invincibility frames; it was very easy to die to small enemies such as the mini mushrooms in the cave and the flies in the sewer.

I'm not saying that I hated my time with this game, though! I liked a bunch of aspects of it.

Also, I figured out that I teleported to the end of the game, because I recognized the lack of exit is because it's guarded by the final boss. Nope! It's actually the beginning.

Uh oh. Definitely a bug. It looks like you've spawned back in your house, where you start the game, which is blocked off now. 

Do you spawn there again if you hit respawn in the pause menu? So sorry about that. Really not sure whats happened.

Yes, I did. I started the game all over again, and didn't encounter the bug again.

Oh, and yeah, the whole system through which you take damage is kind of a mess. Hope it didn't hurt your experience too much.
